Identity of the company

When this statement refers to ‘we’ or ‘us’, we refer to Stichting WAAR Art & Culture, the responsible processor of personal data for the website on which this privacy statement is published, namely that of Arab Film Festival.

From whom do we process personal data?

We process (personal) data that you have made available, but we also process personal data via third parties insofar as this is in accordance with the law. We process data from different categories of data subjects. These are:

Which personal data do we process?

Stichting WAAR Art & Culture processes for various purposes, different personal data. The most common data are:

Name and address details (name, address, place of residence)
Phone number
Date of birth
Sex
E-mail address
Bank account number (IBAN) (for example in the event of a ticket amount being returned)
Business data (Chamber of Commerce number, VAT number)
Interaction data (eg cookies or information received when you contact us)

For what purposes do we process your personal data?

We use the personal data that is processed for the business operations, for the proper performance of the statutory tasks and duties and for the execution of a (possible) agreement. The most important processes and associated goals for which the Waar Art & Culture Foundation processes personal data are:

Festival organization

Establishment and execution of agreements with visitors and participants, relationship management and marketing, evaluate activities.

Services Ticket sales and program information

Informing and assisting visitors when buying tickets and providing visitors with information that we consider essential for the experience of the event.

General

Recruitment and selection of new employees and volunteers, making agreements with suppliers, complaints procedures, financial administration, archiving, auditing, execution of an agreement.

Use of visual material (photos and films)

Stichting WAAR Art & Culture regularly makes reports of events and activities. These photographs and films can be used for publicity purposes.

It is always possible to contact our photographer and indicate that you do not want to be photographed. It is possible at any time to object to the use of certain visual material in which you are depicted. You can make this known by info@arabfilmfestival.nl.

Give and withdraw permission

Personal data is required for carrying out a number of activities. Think of the ability to execute an agreement and the financial settlement thereof.

In certain cases we ask for permission, or an opt-in (for example for sending newsletters or participating in an evaluation). We explain for what purposes we use your data. You can always withdraw the consent given or adjust your preferences.

How long will your data be stored?

We do not retain the data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data were collected. A legal retention period applies to some personal data.

How can you view, correct or delete your data?

You can send a perusal or correction request to Stichting WAAR Art & Culture via info@arabfilmfestival.nl. Indicate clearly that this is a request for inspection or correction on the basis of the AVG. You can also request that your data be deleted, this is only possible if Stichting WAAR Art & Culture can still fulfill its legal obligations (such as the legal retention periods) and can still execute the agreement that we have entered into with you.

You are also entitled to file a complaint about the use of your data with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Security of your data

Foundation WAAR Art & Culture deals confidentially with personal data. Stichting WAAR Art & Culture takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. We make a declaration of (attempts to) abuse.

Web analysis and Cookies

Stichting WAAR Art & Culture measures and analyzes the click behavior of visitors to the website for the quality of our digital services. We use functional and analytical cookies for this. Stichting WAAR Art & Culture uses WordPress and Google Analytics for the website to function optimally and to improve the user-friendliness and to actively retrieve feedback from users. The data we use for this can not be traced back to private individuals.

Data sharing with third parties

By order of the Stichting WAAR Art & Culture, third parties can provide certain parts of the service to execute an agreement. Stichting WAAR Art & Culture makes agreements with these processors to ensure confidential and careful handling of personal data. These agreements are contractually laid down in so-called ‘processor agreements’.

Your personal data will not be rented or sold. Stichting WAAR Art & Culture may share your (personal) data with third parties if you have given permission for this yourself, for example, when this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or when the Waar Waar Art & Culture Foundation has a legal obligation to do so.

Ticket service and event planner (such as Stager and Cineville)

Parties that conduct research for Stichting WAAR Art & Culture or Rotterdam Festivals

On the websites of Stichting WAAR Art & Culture links are included to others. We can not accept responsibility for the way in which these parties deal with personal data. We therefore advise you to always be informed of the privacy policy of these parties or to contact them for a further explanation of their policy regarding the use of personal data.
